Here’s the Violent Femmes live at the Hacienda in 1983, featuring another great standing drummer — does he even have a kick drum on that set? And the sweet sleeveless, striped tee on Gordon Gano. But perhaps the prize goes to the slide bass guitar solo around 2:39. Whoa. This video explains why I love a three piece. I sure hope 25 years from now, the Second Stage videos we’re shooting with one camera play as cool as this one.
